Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman and catcher Will Smith will join the National League's top vote-getter in Shohei Ohtani as All-Star Game starters for the National League on July 15.

The catcher and first baseman will start alongside teammate Shohei Ohtani (DH), but second baseman Tommy Edman, shortstop Mookie Betts, third baseman Max Muncy and outfielders Teoscar Hernández

The Los Angeles Dodgers will have three fan-elected starters in the All-Star Game, with first baseman Freddie Freeman and catcher Will Smith joining designated hitter Shohei Ohtani as winners in final ballot totals.

Freddie Freeman had been keeping track of how many strikeouts Clayton Kershaw needed to reach 3,000 all season.

I’ve been through it. Ups and downs here. More downs than I care to admit. But the fans tonight, it really meant a lot," Kershaw said.
