Part Two, the first TV series in the franchise takes us back over ten thousand years, following the inner workings of one of the most secretive yet powerful organisations in the universe: the Bene Gesserit.

"Dune: Prophecy," a prequel to the Timothee Chalamet movies, has a big ensemble cast and lots of moving parts. Here's everyone you should know.

"Dune: Prophecy," which premieres Sunday on HBO and Max, will follow the rise of the Bene Gesserit, the enigmatic group of women with supernatural power.

As of this writing, the third film in director Denis Villeneuve's "Dune" series has yet to receive an official greenlight. (The project technically remains in development.) Nonetheless, parent company Warner Bros.
