Google Bard has officially transitioned its AI model into Gemini, which includes a smartphone app and advanced version. Google AI product lead Jack Krawczyk shares what's new.

Bard was the name of Google's first AI chatbot, which the company folded into Gemini. Its reason: to "reflect the advanced tech at its core." After all, Bard's rollout in 2023 wasn't smooth sailing.

Customers will need to sign up for a Gemini Advanced subscription as part of the $20 per month Google One AI Premium plan. Bard, now Gemini, is available in over 230 countries.
