The BJP hit back promptly at Gandhi with its general secretary Vinod Tawde releasing pictures of Adani with Robert Vadra, brother in law of Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor and several others of the Congress. Tawde said Gandhi was deliberately setting a false narrative by making it appear that Adani owed his success to the BJP.

With the Maharashtra elections just around the corner, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in his final attempt to land a final blow at the BJP and its Mahayuti alliance, mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark of "ek hain to safe hain" by bringing out a safe during a press conference on Monday.

During a press briefing, Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan, alleging a connection between the slogan and the awarding of Mumbai's Dharavi redevelopment project to the Adani Group.
