Charles Oliveira nearly slipped on the proverbial banana peel. The former UFC lightweight champion survived a hellacious late rally from Michael Chandler to earn an otherwise one-sided unanimous decision Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 309.

Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler are guaranteed fireworks. The lightweights once again met in the octagon at UFC 309 on Saturday in New York and again it was Oliveira that emerged victorious, though this time Chandler pushed him to the limit.

Afterward, Jones revealed that he does not plan to retire and called to speak with UFC executives Dana White and Hunter Campbell.
