An investigation is underway after a 40-year-old woman died in police custody at the Brookline Police Department Saturday.  A Brookline police officer found the woman “breathing but unresponsive” around 2:30 p.

Authorities are investigating the death of a 40-year-old woman who passed away in police custody at the Brookline Police Station on Saturday, officials said.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, there was no evident trauma to the woman’s body. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is slated to conduct a full autopsy to determine the cause of death.
