The University of Arizona apologized after a portion of the team’s fanbase sang an “unacceptable chant” directed towards Brigham Young University (BYU) following the Wildcats’ men’s basketball team’s defeat at the hands of the Cougars on Saturday.

Arizona has apologized after the school says some fans participated in an “unacceptable chant” following the basketball team's 96-95 loss to BYU on Saturday night. According to online video, fans can be heard yelling a profane phrase directed at Mormons as the teams were leaving the court.

BYU beat Arizona 96-95 thanks to a highly questionable call made by longtime Big 12 and former Pac-12 official Tony Padilla with 3.2 seconds left in the game. And Padilla is getting roasted on social media.
