A bipartisan group of lawmakers on Tuesday reintroduced a comprehensive bill to reform the immigration system.

The manager of one farm, Edgar Rodriguez, a U.S. citizen, said he was handcuffed, thrown to the ground and had his arm twisted behind his back after he asked to see a warrant.

A White House spokesperson told CBS News Los Angeles that the order was a "gross overstep of judicial authority."

There have been many legal challenges to President Trump's California immigration sweeps, but one in particular could dramatically alter the policy.

In a decision late Monday, U.S. District Judge Jamal Whitehead in Seattle said President Donald Trump's June order banning the entry of people from 12 countries expressly states that it does not limit the ability of people to seek refugee status.
