CM Sarma, on the occasion, also conferred the Bodoland Lifetime Achievers Award on 18 personalities who contributed immensely to the enrichment of folk cultures in the BTR.

His remarks came after Congress MP and Assam Pradesh Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi accused the BJP-led Assam Government of eroding tribal autonomy under the current government in the state.
